15.8. Removal of a stretcher

The stretcher is removed from the car for replacement in case of deformation or at removal of the engine through the lower part of a motor compartment.

We perform work on a viewing ditch or the elevator.

We remove an engine mudguard (see. "Removal of a mudguard of the engine").

The stretcher can be removed assembled, however for access to the pallet of a case of the engine or at deformation (damage) of a forward cross-piece of a stretcher it is enough to disconnect only of it.

Cap key "on 17" we turn off four bolts of fastening of a forward cross-piece to a stretcher...

... also we remove it.

We disconnect forward fastenings of a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability from a stretcher (see. "Removal of the stabilizer of cross stability"). We disconnect the internal ends of levers of a forward suspension bracket from stretcher arms and we bring them out of arms (see. "Removal of the lever").

We disconnect a case of the steering mechanism from a back cross-piece of a stretcher, we take away it back and we leave to hang on steering drafts and the lower fastening of a shaft of the steering mechanism (see. "Removal of the steering mechanism").

We turn off nuts of bolts of fastening of rubber-metal pillows of forward support of the power unit to arms of the block of cylinders of the engine (see. "Removal of support of the power unit on the car with the VAZ-2106 engine").

For removal of a stretcher we establish an adjustable support (rack) under a coupling case:

on the car with the VAZ-2106 engine — a bit more to the right of a coupling case stiffening rib;

on the car with the engine UEPA-331 — at the coupling case stiffening rib second (on the right) (for descriptive reasons on a photo the dismantled transmission assembled with a coupling case is shown).

It is also possible to hang out the power unit on a strong crossbeam, оперев it on the whetstones put on cups of mudguards of a body (on a photo - the car with the engine VAZ).

We raise a little the power unit that the arms of its forward support fixed on the block of cylinders of the engine were disconnected from rubber-metal pillows.

Head "on 19" we turn off four nuts of hairpins of fastening of a stretcher to body longerons...

... also we remove a stretcher.

Key "on 13" we turn off a nut of a bolt of fastening of a pillow of the right forward support of the power unit, holding a bolt from a provorachivaniye a key "on 12".

The same keys we turn off a nut of the second bolt of fastening of a pillow of the right forward support...

... also we remove a pillow.

Similarly we disconnect a pillow of the left forward support of the power unit from a stretcher.

Key "on 17" we turn off two nuts of hairpins of fastening of an arm of the right forward support to a stretcher...

... also we remove an arm.

Head "on 19" we turn off a nut of a bolt of fastening of an arm of the left forward support of the power unit to a stretcher, holding a bolt from a provorachivaniye a key "on 17".

We remove an arm.

We establish the removed details in the return sequence. We tighten bolts and nuts of fastening of levers of a forward suspension bracket and a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability in situation "the car on wheels".
