19.15.1. Check of control devices and their sensors

The index of temperature of cooling liquid on the engine

UEPA-331 works together with the TM-100A sensor screwed in an opening of the taking-away branch pipe of a head of the block of cylinders. On the VAZ-2106 engine the TM-106 sensor is screwed in an opening of a head of the block of cylinders. The thermoresistors changing resistance depending on temperature are installed in both sensors.

Data for verification of the index of temperature of cooling liquid

If the arrow of the index of temperature constantly is in the beginning of a scale, at the included ignition disconnect a wire from the sensor and connect it to "weight". If the arrow deviates, the sensor is faulty. If the arrow did not deviate, remove a combination of devices, without disconnecting from it a wire, include ignition and connect the top conclusion of the index of temperature connected to the plug 2 of a white block of a combination of devices to "weight". The deviation of an arrow will indicate malfunction of the purpose "the sensor — the index". If the arrow did not deviate, the index or a chain of its food is faulty.

If the arrow of the index constantly is in a red zone, at the included ignition disconnect a wire from the sensor. If the arrow deviated by the beginning of a scale — the sensor is faulty if it is not present — the wire is closed on "weight" or the index does not work. Serviceability of the last can be checked, having disconnected a white block of a combination of devices from a plait of wires and having connected its plug 5 to "weight", and the plug 12 with "+" the rechargeable battery. At the serviceable index at the included ignition of the shooter has to be at the beginning of a scale.

The index of level of fuel works together with the sensor installed in the fuel tank. The sensor represents a rheostat with the resistor from a nikhromovy wire. The mobile contact of a rheostat moves the lever with a float. On the end of the lever there is an additional contact closing a chain of a control lamp of a reserve of fuel when in a tank there are 4,0-6,5 l of gasoline.

If the arrow of the index constantly is in the beginning of a scale, we include ignition, we disconnect a pink wire from the sensor and we connect it to "weight". If the arrow deviates, the sensor is faulty or its contact with "weight" is broken. If the arrow did not deviate, we remove a combination of devices, without disconnecting from it a wire, we include ignition and we connect the lower conclusion of the index connected to the plug 13 of a white block of a combination of devices to "weight". The deviation of an arrow will indicate malfunction of a chain "the sensor — the index". If the arrow did not deviate, the index or its power-supply circuit is faulty.

If the arrow of the index constantly shows a full tank, at the included ignition we disconnect a wire from the sensor. If the arrow deviated by the beginning of a scale — the sensor is faulty if it is not present — the wire is closed on "weight" or the index does not work. Serviceability of the last can be checked, having separated a white block of a combination of devices and a block of a plait of wires and having connected its plug 5 to "weight", and the plug 12 with "+" the rechargeable battery.

At the same time at the serviceable index of the shooter (at the included ignition) has to be at the mark "0". The tachometer and a speedometer are checked at special stands. As a rule, violations in work of a tachometer and electronic speedometer are connected with oxidation of contacts in the feeding and control chains.

At failure of control devices or sensors we replace them new.
