23.2. Diagnostics of malfunctions of coupling

Cause of defect

Elimination method

Coupling not completely joins ("slips")

By sharp pressing an accelerator pedal the engine gains steam, but the car almost does not accelerate (it especially noticeable at the movement on rise); the smell of superheated frictional slips can be felt; fuel consumption increases

The wrong adjustment of the drive of coupling (there is no free wheeling of a pedal)

Adjust the drive (see. "Coupling", page 98)

Oiling of a flywheel, press disk, frictional overlays of the conducted disk

Carefully wash out white spirit or gasoline greasy surfaces and dry wipe them. Replace strongly greasy conducted disk. Remove the cause of oiling (an oil leak through an epiploon of the engine and/or transmission)

Strong wear or burning of frictional overlays of the conducted disk

Replace the conducted disk

Weakening of a diaphragm spring

Replace a coupling casing

Jamming of a nave of the conducted disk on vents of a main shaft of the transmission

Clear vents of dirt, eliminate small damages with a file. At considerable wear or damage of shliyets replace a disk and/or a main shaft of the transmission. Before assembly apply fresh SHRUS-4 lubricant on vents

The compensation opening of the main cylinder is littered

Replace the main cylinder

The piston of the main cylinder slowly comes back to a starting position because of swelling of rubber cuffs

Replace the cylinder assembled. At suspicion in liquid of a hydraulic actuator of coupling replace it with hit of gasoline or other solvents

Coupling is not completely switched off ("conducts").
Gear shifting of the forward course is complicated, transfer of a backing joins with noise (see also "Diagnostics of malfunctions of the transmission", page 254)

The wrong adjustment of the drive of coupling (the full speed of a pedal is small, its free wheeling is increased)

Adjust the drive (see. "Coupling", page 98)

Air got to system of a hydraulic actuator (a pedal "soft")

Pump over system, tighten connections. At leak from the main or working cylinders replace cylinders assembled

The coupling switching off fork is deformed

Replace a fork

Weakening of rivets or breakage of frictional slips, buckling of the conducted disk (a face beating more than 0,5 mm)

Replace a disk

Strong and uneven wear, teases on working surfaces of a flywheel or a press disk

Pierce or replace a flywheel. At damage of a surface of a press disk replace a coupling casing

Distortion or buckling of a press disk

Replace a casing with a press disk in collecting (coupling "basket")

Jamming of a nave of the conducted disk on vents of a main shaft of the transmission

Clear vents of dirt, eliminate small damages with a file. At considerable wear or damage of shliyets replace a disk and/or a main shaft of the transmission. Before assembly apply fresh SHRUS-4 lubricant on vents

Weakening of rivets of connecting plates of a casing of coupling or diaphragm spring, breakage of plates

Replace a coupling casing

The coupling switching off bearing is jammed

Replace the bearing

Coupling is not switched off (the pedal "fails")

The coupling switching off fork is strongly deformed or broken

Replace a fork

Availability of air in system of a hydraulic actuator

Pump over system, tighten connections. At leak from the main or working cylinders replace cylinders assembled

Coupling is not switched off (the pedal "fails"). It is short-term it is possible to switch off coupling only sharp pressing a pedal

Strong wear, defects of a mirror of the main cylinder; dirt in the cylinder

Clean or replace the cylinder

Malfunction of cuffs of the main cylinder

Replace the cylinder assembled

Breakthroughs at start-off

Grease Litolom-24 or SHRUS-4 plugs

Plastic plugs of a pedal are strongly worn-out

Replace plugs, before installation grease them with Litolom-24 or SHRUS-4

After a coupling pedal otpuskaniye it does not come back to a starting position

Availability of air in system of a hydraulic actuator

Pump over system, tighten connections

Lost elasticity or the returnable spring of a pedal and/or a clutch release fork lever is broken

Replace a spring (springs)
