9.1. Description of a design

System of production of the fulfilled gases: 1 - muffler; 2 - collar; 3 - resonator; 4 - suspension bracket pillow; 5 - reception pipe of the engine UEPA-331; 6 - laying of a reception pipe of the engine UEPA-331; 7 - laying of a reception pipe of the VAZ-2106 engine; 8 - reception pipe of the VAZ-2106 engine; 9 - transmission arm; 10 - arm of a reception pipe.

Description of a design

Systems of release on cars with engines UEPA-331 and VAZ-2106 are identical on a design: a reception pipe — the resonator — the main muffler. As final collectors of engines UEPA-331 and VAZ-2106 are various, reception pipes of systems of release and their laying for each engine are not interchanged. The resonator and the main muffler are identical.

The reception pipe fastens to a flange of a final collector of the engine UEPA-331 by means of three hairpins, and to a final collector of the VAZ-2106 engine — four. Nuts in both cases are applied high: brass or copperplated. Between flanges of a final collector and a reception pipe the heat-resistant metalreinforced laying is established. To the arm fixed on a transmission case, the reception pipe fastens on removable, pulled together with a bolt, an arm.

The reception pipe is connected to a forward pipe of the resonator through a sealing ring a collar. The muffler is connected to the resonator similarly. To a body the resonator is suspended on one, and the muffler — on three rubber pillows providing some mobility of system of release at the movement of the car.

Service of system of release consists in periodic survey of pipes, the resonator and muffler regarding through corrosion and progar, in tightening of the weakened connections, replacement of laying and pillows of fastening. The muffler and the resonator — non-demountable knots and at failure have to be replaced with new.
