15. Forward suspension bracket

Description of a design

Basic element of a forward suspension bracket — a stretcher to which levers of a forward suspension bracket, a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability, and also a support of the engine and the steering mechanism fasten. The stretcher is attached to body longerons by four hairpins with nuts.

Forward suspension bracket — independent, type the shaking candle, with the directing spring racks. The internal end the suspension bracket lever through saylent-block fastens to a stretcher arm, external — through a spherical support to a rotary fist. The spherical support fastens to a rotary fist two bolts which (attention!) after long service life can break off from excessive effort at an otvorachivaniye. Therefore when replacing a spherical support it is recommended to tap heads of these bolts the hammer in the axial direction.

The guide a spring rack consists of a damping rack, a twisted cylindrical spring, the polyurethane foam buffer of the course of compression, a protective cover of a rod, the top cup with the bearing and the top support. The damping rack fastens to a rotary fist two bolts. The top bolt has two eccentric washers which at turn of a bolt allow to regulate disorder of a forward wheel.

The top support fastens two nuts to a body mudguard cup. The rubber element of a support allows a rack to shake at the course of a suspension bracket and turn of the car. In the case of a rack details of the telescopic hydraulic shock-absorber are mounted. At an exit it out of operation can be replaced a damping rack or to install a repair cartridge (cartridge) in its case.

The ends of a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability enter openings of levers of a suspension bracket in which rubber and plastic plugs are installed. A middle part the bar fastens via rubber plugs to a forward part of a stretcher.

In a nave of a forward wheel the two-row radial-stop bearing of the closed type is installed (the same bearing is installed in a forward nave of front-wheel cars VAZ). On a pin of a rotary fist the bearing with a nave are kept by a nut which drags on at assembly of knot the ordered moment (see. "Appendices") and in use is not subject to tightening, and the bearing does not demand adjustment and replenishments of lubricant during all service life — is only replaced at wear.

At dismantle of a nave the bearing collapses therefore, removing a nave, stock up with the new bearing.
