Description of a design

Steering — safety (a steering shaft with two cardan hinges). The steering mechanism — the gear wheel lath type with steering drafts.

The case of the steering mechanism - cast, from aluminum alloy, is attached in a motor compartment to a stretcher. In a case are established a driving kosozuby gear wheel and

gear lath which are in continuous gearing. The forward bearing of a driving gear wheel (at an end face) — needle, back (is closer to a steering shaft) — ball. From axial movement the gear wheel is recorded via the ball bearing: its internal ring is kept on a gear wheel shaft by a lock ring, and external nestles a nut on a bearing nest end face in a case of the steering mechanism. The nut is closed by a protective cover (boot) which is put on a shaft of a driving gear wheel.

The right (cylindrical) part of a lath leans on the plastic plug in the case of the steering mechanism, and the left (gear) part is drawn in to a driving gear wheel by a spring through an emphasis. The spring, in turn, is drawn in by an adjusting nut with a lock-nut.

Non-demountable spherical hinges of steering drafts are screwed in end faces of a lath. Cases of hinges serve also as lath course limiters, resting at its maximum movements to the right and to the left against a case of the steering mechanism. At emergence of a side play in spherical hinges steering drafts are replaced entirely. Places of an exit of a lath from a case are protected by corrugated rubber covers.

From external end faces on drafts of a navernuta tips which spherical fingers are fixed by the conical surfaces in levers of rotary fists. Threaded connections of tips with drafts are recorded by lock-nuts. Rotation of steering drafts in carvings of tips cars regulate a corner of a convergence of the operated wheels. At the same time not to damage protective covers of steering drafts, it is recommended to grease places of an exit of drafts from covers with plastic lubricant.

Steering shaft — compound, three-unit, with two cardan hinges and the elastic coupling. Top (tubular) part of a shaft leans on two ball radial bearings installed in an arm pipe. On conical vents top the end of a shaft the steering wheel is fixed by a nut.

Plant louses of lubricant of a gear wheel, lath and bearings of a gear wheel apply FIOL-1 (about 20-30 g on all mechanism), and fill a cavity over a gear wheel bearing nut (under a boot) with UNIOL-1 lubricant.
