5.7. Dismantling of the fuel pump

To clear it is possible (to replace) the mesh filter and to replace diaphragms, without removing the pump from the engine. (For descriptive reasons we carry out these operations on the dismantled pump of the VAZ-2106 engine.)

Key "on 10" we turn off a bolt of fastening of a cover of the pump.

We uncover and take out the mesh filter.

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off six screws connecting top and lower a pump housing...

... also we separate cases.

Having pressed and having turned diaphragm knot on 90 °, we take out it from the lower part of the case and we remove a spring from a rod.

Key "on 8" we turn off a nut of fastening of a rod...

... and consistently we remove: top steel plate, two workers and safety diaphragms, external and internal remote pro-rates, lower plate and washer.

We assemble the pump in the return sequence. At installation of diaphragms we combine their openings with openings of the lower pump housing.

The mesh filter is installed in a pump housing so that its opening settled down over the valve. Otbortovka of an opening of the filter has to enter a valve opening.

The pump of the engine UEPA-331 understands almost similarly except that the cover of the pump fastens to the top case two screws.
