20:10. Replacement of an external part of the lock of a door

Work can be performed, without removing a door upholstery. Adjustment of the lock after its replacement will not be required.

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off two lower screws of fastening of an external part of the lock of a door.

We roll a hairpin of M6 50-70 mm long in the lower opening.

Having turned out the top screw of fastening...

... we remove an external part of the lock.

The hairpin at the same time holds an internal part of the lock, without allowing it to fall.

We put a new external part of the lock in the return sequence and we check ease of opening and closing of a door.
