20:22. Removal of the dashboard

For removal of a combination of devices it is enough to remove only a peak and the top overlay of the panel. For replacement of the panel or removal of the case and air ducts of a heater we dismantle the panel entirely.

We remove a steering wheel (see. "Removal of a steering wheel") and a casing of a steering column (see. "The understeering switch").

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off three self-tapping screws of fastening of a peak of the dashboard:

one on the right...

... one in the middle...

... and one - at the left.

Having pulled on itself, we remove a peak.

By the same tool it is turned off three self-tapping screws of fastening of an overlay of the dashboard:

two on the right.

... and one - at the left.

We raise an overlay of the dashboard...

... also we disconnect sockets from the switch of external lighting, a sound signaling device of turning on of the emergency brake and the index of turns, and also we remember colors of wires and we disconnect them from lamps of the block of signaling devices.

We remove an overlay of the dashboard.

In the lower part of an overlay of the dashboard uvulas for its fixing in the top part of the dashboard are executed.

On the car with the panel of a new sample and a combination of devices with an electronic speedometer...

... we take out two caps from the top part of an overlay of the dashboard...

... and a hexagon "on 5" we unscrew two self-tapping screws of fastening of a slip.

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off two self-tapping screws in the lower part of a slip:

one on the right...

... and one at the left.

We remove an overlay of the dashboard and we disconnect sockets from the switch of external lighting and a sound signaling device.

We remove a combination of devices (see. "Removal of a combination of devices").

If it is necessary to replace the side deflector of system of heating and ventilation...

... we hook the deflector the screw-driver...

... also we take out it from the dashboard.

For removal of an overlay of the console we remove a floor casing (see. "Removal of a casing of a floor").

We remove the handle from the lever of the gate of management of an air stream.

Similarly we remove the handle from a control lever the air supply gate to legs of the driver and passengers.

In the niche which is under the panel of levers...

... the crosswise screw-driver unscrewed the top self-tapping screw...

... also we take away an overlay of the console.

We disconnect wires...

... from the boss of a lamp of illumination of control levers heater gates...

... from the lighter and a lamp of its illumination.

We remove the heater fan electric motor switch handle.

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off two self-tapping screws...

... also we disconnect the control unit of a heater from the lower part of the dashboard.

For removal of the switch of the electric motor of the fan of a heater...

... a key "on 14" we turn off a nut of its fastening.

We remember colors of wires, we disconnect them and we remove the switch.

It is possible to remove the top and lower parts of the dashboard assembled or separately. In the second case we remove the lower part of the dashboard in the beginning.

We unscrew self-tapping screws of fastening of the panel of the control unit to the lower part of the dashboard (see. "Removal of a cable of the drive of the air gate of the carburetor"). Without disconnecting cables of the drive of a cowl and the air gate, we enter the control unit panel into a window of its fastening. Through the same window we disconnect sockets from buttons of turning on of the alarm system, back fog lamps, heating of back glass and the electroproofreader of headlights.

The crosswise screw-driver we unscrew the self-tapping screw of fastening of the lower part of the dashboard located on the right side under the socket of a portable lamp.

Similarly we unscrew the self-tapping screw located on the left side. By the short crosswise screw-driver it is turned off two self-tapping screws (on one from each party) connecting the lower part of the dashboard with top.

For descriptive reasons the arrangement of the right self-tapping screw is shown on the removed panel.

Having opened a ware box...

... we unbend two metal uvulas in its top part.

The crosswise screw-driver we unscrew the self-tapping screw of the central fastening of the lower part of the dashboard (lower of shown on a photo 17).

We take away the lower part of the panel...

... also we disconnect wires of power supply from the button of switching off and a plafond of illumination of a ware box.

We remove the lower part of the dashboard.

For removal of the top part of the dashboard or both parts of the dashboard assembled we remove the airsupercharger (see. "Removal of the airsupercharger and fan of a heater"). Under it it is located...

... a rubber cap which we take out, having hooked the screw-driver.

We take also big plastic cap located behind the assembly block.

Through the opened openings...

... a head "on 13" with the extender we turn off a nut of right...

... and the left fastening of the top part of the dashboard to a body.

It is desirable to apply a plasticine layer on a head not to drop a nut in the hidden cavities of a body.

Having pulled on itself, we remove the top part of the dashboard.

For removal of the top and lower parts of the dashboard assembled to unscrew the self-tapping screws connecting them (see a photo 27) and it is not necessary to unbend uvulas (see a photo 28).

We remove top and lower speak rapidly dashboards assembled.

Separation of air ducts of system of heating and ventilation and the top part of the dashboard is shown in the subsection "Removal of the Case of a Heater, Control Unit of a Heater and Air Ducts of the Dashboard".
